"A fanatic is someone who won't change their mind and won't change the subject" -Winston Churchill.
Churchill was an amazing writer and politician and one simple thing that gripped him the most was passion, to fantasize over something. Everything he did he had passion, his ability to complete a task was motivated by passion. In our relationship with God if we have passion we can pursue God effectively and actually draw closer to him, instead of just maturing. God has called to live an extraordinary life in him, more than just an average life. Napoleon Bonaparte said, "Ten people who speak make more noise then ten thousand that are silent."
I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. My life makes its boast in the Lord; let the humble and afflicted hear and be glad. Magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together.Psalm 34

It's Time
Ecclesiastes 3:1-11
1To everything there is a season, and a time for every matter or purpose under heaven:2A time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to pluck up what is planted, 3A time to kill and a time to heal, a time to break down and a time to build up, 4A time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, 5A time to cast away stones and a time to gather stones together, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, 6A time to get and a time to lose, a time to keep and a time to cast away,7A time to rend and a time to sew, a time to keep silence and a time to speak, 8A time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.9What profit remains for the worker from his toil? 10I have seen the painful labor and exertion and miserable business which God has given to the sons of men with which to exercise and busy themselves. 11He has made everything beautiful in its time. He also has planted eternity in men's hearts and minds [a divinely implanted sense of a purpose working through the ages which nothing under the sun but God alone can satisfy], yet so that men cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.

Main Focus
In my personal life I have come to learn that focus is key. Whether it is school, or work, or anything, you aren't going anywhere unless you focus. When leading worship it is easy to focus on Jesus, but whenever I am just going through life it can be tough. I know this is really simple, but hear me out. Focus is key for anything. Anthony Robbins say “It's not what's happening to you now or what has happened in your past that determines who you become. Rather, it's your decisions about what to focus on, what things mean to you, and what you're going to do about them that will determine your ultimate destiny.” Focusing is one of the most important things you can do in your Christian walk. The last couple of youth services while leading worship the thought keeps coming to me, that the only reason we are even there is for God. We go to church and we have activities, and sessions, and programs which aren't necessarily bad but are they giving you straight access to the King. In my own life I know that I don't want to be a part of anything even if it is in a church that's focus is not directly on Jesus. That's why worship is so key, because it unlocks, it opens that door when all we think about is Jesus. We aren't worried, or hungry, or thirsty; it's just about Jesus.

Sense and Reason
Romans 8:6-10
6Now the mind of the flesh [which is sense and reason without the Holy Spirit] is death [death that [f]comprises all the miseries arising from sin, both here and hereafter]. But the mind of the [Holy] Spirit is life and [soul] peace [both now and forever].
7[That is] because the mind of the flesh [with its carnal thoughts and purposes] is hostile to God, for it does not submit itself to God's Law; indeed it cannot.
8So then those who are living the life of the flesh [catering to the appetites and impulses of their carnal nature] cannot please or satisfy God, or be acceptable to Him.
9But you are not living the life of the flesh, you are living the life of the Spirit, if the [Holy] Spirit of God [really] dwells within you [directs and controls you]. But if anyone does not possess the [Holy] Spirit of Christ, he is none of His [he does not belong to Christ, is not truly a child of God].(C)
10But if Christ lives in you, [then although] your [natural] body is dead by reason of sin and guilt, the spirit is alive because of [the] righteousness [that He imputes to you].
Pretty interesting when you think that without the Holy Spirit guiding our thoughts, and actions, it is all just logic, just reason. The Holy spirit is there for us to use everyday, in everything.
